Christopher M Zarro, MD
Dr. Zarro is a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon who graduated from Boston College and received his Master’s degree from Georgetown University prior to attending the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. After medical school he completed his residency in Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Maryland Medical System and R. Adams Cowley Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore, Maryland. While in residency he gained extensive experience in the treatment of traumatic spinal disorders at Shock Trauma and pediatric spinal deformity at the Johns Hopkins University Hospital.
Following residency, Dr Christopher Zarro completed specialized training in Spine Surgery at New York University Medical Center/ Hospital for Joint Disease in New York, New York. While in his fellowship, he treated complex adult and pediatric spinal deformity, as well as cervical and lumbar degenerative conditions using minimally invasive techniques and disc arthroplasty.
Dr. Zarro has received many awards and honors and is a member of the AOA medical honor society. He has numerous publications in the spine literature. He specializes in a full range of spinal disorders including degenerative disease of the cervical and lumbar spine, traumatic injuries to the spine, minimally invasive spinal techniques, disc replacement, scoliosis and deformity surgery in adolescents and adults.
